The Perfect Derma Peel is a professional, medium-depth chemical peel sold to medical professionals. The brand describes a formula that combines acids with glutathione. At Art Of Skin, candidacy and administration must follow medical oversight, product instructions and Florida scope requirements.

It is commonly selected to improve overall tone, texture, clarity, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melasma, acne concerns and early signs of aging. Results and peeling intensity vary. Melasma and acne can recur and often require an ongoing plan.

The manufacturer markets the peel for all skin types and ethnicities, but universal suitability should never be assumed. Skin history, prior pigment reactions, melasma behavior, medications, barrier health and recent sun exposure determine whether this peel, a gentler peel or no peel is the safest choice.

The manufacturer lists important exclusions and precautions including pregnancy or breastfeeding, allergy to ingredients such as salicylates, active infection or open skin, certain immune conditions or therapies, chemotherapy/radiation, keloid history, current dermatitis/eczema and excessive recent sun exposure. A full intake is required.

Visible peeling often begins around day three and is generally completed by about day seven, but some clients flake lightly and others shed more noticeably. Dark spots can temporarily look darker before they lift. Never pull, scrub or peel skin manually.

Avoid tanning and irritating procedures; disclose prescriptions, retinoids, isotretinoin history, allergies, pregnancy status and cold sores; and follow the exact pre-peel product schedule. Clients with a history of herpes simplex may need a preventive antiviral prescribed by an authorized clinician.

Use the supplied post-peel products exactly as directed. Do not add unapproved actives, exfoliants or oils. Avoid heat, sweating, picking and sun. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen and contact the practice before changing the schedule if irritation develops.

One peel may visibly refresh tone and texture. The manufacturer notes that a series may be recommended for more persistent acne or pigmentation, commonly spaced about four weeks apart. Art Of Skin will reassess before repeating rather than assuming every client needs the same number

Severe or increasing pain, marked swelling, blistering beyond expected peeling, eye involvement, hives, trouble breathing, pus, fever or spreading redness requires prompt attention. Breathing difficulty, facial swelling or eye injury is an emergency.
